Guwahati, Mar 19 : In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch of Guwahati Police apprehended one Tutu Bora (38) of Gormur in Majuli for acting as a linkman for a senior functionary of banned ULFA(I). He was working with Ganesh Lahon to secure information on contractors working in Majuli for extortion and also to help recruit new Cadres. This is the second arrest of a linkman of the banned organisation, within a week, after the arrest of one Amu Khan on 15th March, 2022.

Earlier also in 2010, Tutu Bora was arrested for his links with ULFA in Jorhat. Post that, he went on to join a private company in Pune. He returned to Assam & joined another company. Apart from securing information & scouting for recruits, he also collected uniforms. Both Amu Khan and Tutu Bora knew each other & worked in tandem for the banned terror organisation.
