Tura, Aug 13: In order to promote the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign of the government, Meghalaya sector CRPF took out a bike rally in Tura Headquarter 120BN CRPF, under the leadership of Pramod Kumar Singh commandant of 120 BN CRPF , Tura West Garo Hills.
A cultural programme a patriotic songs was performed by the youth of Garo Hills, as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of Indian Independence.
The event witnessed warm response from Garo youth as reflected with participation of more than four dozen bikes, despite being a Sunday with heavy rains.
Pramod Kumar Singh, Commandant of 120 BN CRPF flagged off the bikes rally from 120 BN headquarter to Dakopgre tura.The idea behind the rally is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
