Shillong, March 10: Minister in-charge Public Health Engineering (PHE) Marcuise N Marak on Monday informed that the augmentation of Dadenggre Water Supply Scheme is physically completed and has provided functional household tap connections (FHTCs) coverage to 856 households.
Laying an assurance statement to starred question asked by TMC MLA Rupa Marak, Marcuise said that the scheme was sanctioned on July 16, 2021 for an amount of Rs 7,29,18,000.00. The scheme covers 2 villages – Ajrigre & Dadenggre.
The scheme provides coverage to Modelgre which is one of the localities under Dadenggre village.
“The scheme is physically completed and has provided FHTCs coverage to 856 households,” Marcuise said.
“The water storage tank at Mejadu was constructed under the original Dadenggre Water Supply Scheme sanctioned during the year 1977-78,” he stated while informing that the upto-date financial expenditure is Rs 7.023 crore.
