Nongpoh, Oct 30 : To extend help, both medical and counseling, the Students Christian Movement of India (SCMI), Nongpoh Unit inaugurated a new Counselling Centre at Pahamlapong Nongpoh, Meghalaya on October 30.

Inaugurating the centre, Pastor David Jamir, Founder of Wisdom Center Umdihar, Shongkun Mynsiem Diengdoh, Programme Secretary of SCMI Northeast Zone-1, among others were present at the event.

Advising the parents to take proactive measures and take responsibility for their children’s activities, Pastor David Jamir while giving his speech said that the centre aims to create awareness and educate people about the ill-effects of alcoholism and substance abuse and provide a range of community-based services for identification, motivation, counseling.
