Guwahati, April 02: On Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal, while speaking to media persons at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati, urged Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to learn more about Assamese culture.

Talking to the media at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati, Arvind Kejriwal said, “In Assam in the past 75 years Congress, AGP, BJP had ruled, people have given special scope to all but no development took place, which ever party got power here cheated the people, only looted people,”.

“The BJP came to power here in 2016 and in Delhi. In 2015 AAP government was there but if you compare Delhi has progressed so well. We are doing good work in Punjab and now if we get scope in Asaam we will do well,” he stated.

Kejriwal also responded to Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comment daring him to accuse him of corruption during the Delhi CM’s Assam tour.

“I heard what Himanta Biswa Sarma has said, he was threatening me, saying if he comes we will put him in jail. The people of Assam are not like that they are hospitable. They didn’t give threat. Himanta Biswa Sarma should learn about Assam culture and tradition. I invite him to Delhi, let him be my guest, I will serve him tea, take him around in Delhi. People of Assam are very nice. They believe in Atithi Devo Bhava. They don’t threaten guest like Himanta Biswa Sarma,” Kejriwal asserted.

It may be mentioned here that Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier, called ‘coward’ Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of being corrupt during the Delhi chief Minister’s, Assam tour.

“Let him come to Assam and say that there is a case against Himanta Biswa Sarma. I will sue him right away,” the Assam CM stated.
