Nongpoh, Oct 24: With grief concern over the lack of public amenities which need to be heard and pay heed by the state government of Meghalaya, on Oct 23, the newly formed Synjuk ki Dorbar Shnong Byrnihat Areas, has put the top priority in fulfilling the needs of the area which includes proper electricity connectivity, solid waste management and better facilities to be available at the Byrnihat Primary Health Centre.
The priorities was announced by the Synjuk ki Dorbar Shnong Byrnihat Areas which includes 30 villages from 12 Mile to 18 Miles in Ri Bhoi District, during the swearing in of the newly elected members.
The newly elected members inducted to the Synjuk ki Dorbar Shnong Byrnihat Areas, includes Kendrowell Lapang as the Chairman, Jeslin Syngkli Vice President, Johny Syiem as the General Secretary, John Marak Treasurer including 8 members of the Executive Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Kendrowell Lapang expressed that, he is very happy to be inducted as the chairman of the body, in which he and the newly elected body will strive toward fulfilling the top most priority which includes the proper electricity connectivity in Byrnihat areas as local residents has been facing hardship because of the poor electricity connectivity especially the school children and businessmen
