Shillong, Oct 4: Despite the torrential rain in the evening hours in Shillong, the Season 2 of Meghalaya Grassroot Music Project kicked – started with great excitement, getting the crowds to dance and groove to the soulful music of local musicians at Khyndailad (Police Bazar).
The performance that made everyone forget about the cold rain was by Ka Sur u Nongkyndong, a 11-year-old singer from Na U Bnai, and the well-known rock band, The Colours.
The event was inaugurated by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh, who braved the rain to ensure the event and the excitement is not dampened.
