Dibrugarh Gymkhana Club case: Deceased manager’s family seeks Assam CM’s intervention

Dibrugarh, July 31: The family members of deceased Bhim Rajak have requested Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to intervene in the mysterious death of Bhim Rajak.

Bhim Rajak, manager of Dibrugarh Gymkhana Club, was found hanging in a room of the club on July 17, 2024.

The family members have filed an FIR at Dibrugarh police station against the accused persons but till date no arrest has been made.

Speaking to Hub News, Bhushan Rajak, brother of Bhim Rajak, said, “My brother was murdered in a planned manner by the club members. We want justice for my brother. Therefore, we request the Assam chief minister to intervene in the matter to help us in getting justice.”

“Like Vineet Bagaria’s case, where the Chief Minister intervened and after that arrests were made, we want the accused who murdered my brother to be booked under law,” he added.

The names of Sanjib Sur, club president, Sachin Kacharia and Rajen Lohia have been mentioned in the FIR filed by Bhim Rajak’s family.
