Dibrugarh, July 18: The manager of the Dibrugarh Gymkhana Club was found dead in one of the rooms at Gymkhana Club on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bhim Rajak, a resident of Dibrugarh.
Founded in 2004, the Dibrugarh Gymkhana Club is a registered society that promotes sports in Dibrugarh. Again a sophisticated designed society, the Dibrugarh Gymkhana Club provides for amenities like a swimming pool, table tennis, chess board, and carom board, to promote sports in Dibrugarh.
According to reports, his body was found inside the Gymkhana club premises in a hanging condition.
The discovery of the body drew a large number of crowd, promoting police intervention to maintain law and order.
“Bhim Rajak has been facing harassment over a financial dispute involving a club member. He was murdered,” alleged the victim’s brother.
An investigation into the incident has been launched to determine the exact cause of death.
“We have sent the body for postmortem. The body was found in a hanging condition. Right now we can ascertain it was murder or suicide,” said a police official.
