Shillong, Dec 6: In a proud achievement for St. Anthony’s College in Shillong and for Meghalaya, Dr. Sanku Dey of the College’s Department of Statistics has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in the prestigious list released by Stanford University, USA, in 2024.
This global recognition underscores his exceptional contributions to statistical research and academia.
Dr. Dey has an impressive 305 research publications and has garnered 5,027 citations from scholars around the world. Within the exclusive community of 223,153 scientists featured on the list, Dr. Dey achieved an impressive global rank of 57,410. This acknowledgment reflects not only his profound expertise but also his dedication to advancing knowledge in the field.
The data, published on September 16, 2024, in the Elsevier Data Repository, is part of the report titled “August 2024 Data-Update for ‘Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators’.” This repository provides standardized insights on citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in various authorship positions, and a composite indicator (c-score).
