Shillong, Oct 1: The Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of East Khasi Hills District has declared October 2, 2021 as ‘Dry Day’ on account of “Gandhi Jayanti”.
In an order issued on Friday read, the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District in exercise of powers conferred by Section 52 (I) of the Meghalaya Excise Act (Assam Excise Act 1910 as adopted) has declared the 2nd October, 2021 as ‘Dry Day’ throughout the entire East Khasi Hills District on account of “Gandhi Jayanti”.
All bonded warehouses, IMFL ‘OFF’ & ‘ON’ retail outlets, home delivery licensees, canteens and outstills will remain closed on Saturday.
