Shillong, Sept 15: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong had been shifted out of ICU following a crucial surgery on September 12 at Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
He had undergone left fronto temporal parietal craniotomy with evacuation of SDH on September 12.
“CT scan shows normalcy,” commissioner & secretary Vijay Mantri said in a statement on Sunday.
“However, another scan to be done before declaring fit for discharge. He is expected to be discharged on Tuesday,” he informed.
He was first rushed to the ICU of Nazareth Hospital in the state capital on September 9, and once his health stabilised a bit, he was taken to New Delhi and admitted at the Indraprastha Apollo hospital on September 11.
The next day, a team of doctors successfully performed surgery to remove the hematoma (generally blood clot).
