Tura, Mar 9: The ex-chief executive member of GHADC Rakesh A Sangma has been appointed as the new chairman of the High Powered Committee of the GHADC.
A notification issued on March 7th by the new CEM Albinush R Marak mentions the appointment of Rakesh A Sangma as the new chairman of the High Powered Committee of the GHADC.
The notification mentions that the HPC will consist of Chairman Rakesh and will also have members and officers as may be appointed by the Executive committee from time to time.
The role of the High Powered Committee is to help the district council connect with other departments through coordination, particularly to ensure the royalty share of the council from the state is released, among other things.
The HPC Chairman will also be tasked with coordinating with the other two district councils, the KHADC and JHADC, in matters concerning all three autonomous bodies.
Aldo made Chairman of GHGA
NPP MDC nominated to GHADC Aldo A Sangma was appointed chairman of the Garo Hills Growers Association by the CEM Albinush Marak on Monday.
The new CEM appointed Aldo Sangma through a notification on March 7th.
