Shillong, July 1: The Meghalaya opposition Trinamool Congress Chief Whip George Lyngdoh on Friday met the Ad-hoc teachers who were agitating outside the Secretariat main building at Shillong.

While speaking to media personnel, George said that from the very beginning, we have talked about supporting and supporting the legitimate demands.

George said that it is not that the government does not know, they have all the information about the problems, from time to time, we raise these issues in front of the government during the assembly session and will continue to raise it further.

It is to be known that from June 28, the Adhoc teacher under the umbrella of Federation of All School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM) started an indefinite dharna outside the Secretariat in the city and the Mini Secretariat in Tura on Tuesday, accusing the state government of betraying the teachers of the state.
