Williamnagar, Jan 6: A devastating fire broke out at Dawa Nengkatok Bazar in Williamnagar on Sunday evening, around 11:15 PM, leaving behind a trail of destruction as it engulfed 12 shops.
It was informed that despite quick action by the Fire and Emergency Service, the flames spread too quickly, leaving nothing but ashes behind.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but rumors among the locals suggest it may have started when a deteriorating electrical cable fell onto dry leaves behind the shops.
However, no eyewitnesses have confirmed this.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause and assess the total damage.
