Shillong, Dec 01: A significant fire erupted on Saturday morning at the atta godown owned by Magic Cook in Garikhana.

The godown, belonging to Bajoria, experienced the blaze around 1:00 AM, suspected to be caused by an electrical issue. Teams from Pulit Fire & Emergency Services, SDRF, the army, DMHO, and GTC swiftly arrived to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby areas.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities during the incident.
