Shillong, June 1: The passing out of the first batch of Prison warders who had undergone three months basic course was held at Training Centre IST MLP Bn Mawiong.

The first batch consisted of 25 warders, were given training on foot drill ,arms drill ,firing practice and indoor classes includes legal studies Prison rules Human Rights etc

Addressing the function as chief guest, Inspector General of Prisons, M. Kharkrang said it was a proud moment for the department to witness the first batch of warders pass-out from an important training.

The IG also stressed upon the trainees to be committed and dedicated to their work and prepare themselves towards prison reforms.
