Jowai, Oct 31: The first ever Resort & Spa in Jaiñtia Hills under the name Loomkyntoor Resort & Spa was opened on Saturday.It was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of West Jaiñtia Hills, Garod, LSN Dykes at a small gathering in Shkempyrsit Village of Amlarem Civil Sub-Division, West Jaiñtia Hills.

During the function, apart from the Deputy Commissioner as the Chief Guest, the other dignatries present were the Superintendent of Police, Bikram D Marak, among others.

Teiborlang Hinge as the proprietor of the Resort informed that the resort will help boost the tourist inflow in the area because it is situated at the heart of the tourism hub of the region and the state and it will engage educated unemployed youths of Jaiñtia Hills.

Perched atop a hillock this Resort cum Spa offers visitors with a number of cascading waterfalls, a natural swimming pool, playground for kids, restaurant, cottages, among other activities.

The Resort is situated at Shkenpyrsit Village, and just about 1.5 km from the National Highway.
