Guwahati, May 20: Five people of the same family, including children, are hospitalized due to food poisoning. The incident took place at the Assam’s Gosaigaon on Monday.

The injured were identified as Krinju Brahma (55), Himansu Narzary, Anjima Brahma, Tilak Brahma (2) and Mukhi Brahma respectively.

Krinju Brahma is in critical condition but the other members are out of danger. Krinju Brahma is currently undergoing treatment at Gosaigau RNB Hospital.

As per sources the incident happened with the consumption of broiler meat brought from Dotma in Kokrajhar district.

Victim”s family member said that “we ate broiler meat, within one hour I started vomiting and defecating. Five members from our family were affected, including my two year old grand son”.
