Shillong, Aug 30: The Federation of Khasi Jaiñtia Garo People’s (FKJGP) Mawkyrwat Circle on Wednesday met with Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills District, T. Lyngwa, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mawkyrwat, to address the increasing incidents of theft and dacoity in the district.

FKJGP President K.L. Nonglait and General Secretary Enbor Syiemiong while speaking to reporters, highlighting the need for the police department to take notice of the situation to ensure the safety of the public.

The FKJGP also appealed to the District Administration to provide police personnel for protection in the Mawkyrwat market area during nighttime, aiming to prevent any unfortunate incident.
