Agartala, Aug 4: Incessant rains have led to flash floods in several areas of the South Tripura and Gomati districts of Tripura.
The State Emergency Operations Centre has informed that over 20 areas under all sub-divisions of the South Tripura districts have been affected.
As many as 22 relief camps have been opened in South Tripura district, providing shelter to 861 individuals from 271 families.
“A total of 18 relief camps are still operational with 609 members of 199 families. In Gomati district, two relief camps have been opened, where 15 families consisting of 52 members have been sheltered,” said an official.
The local administrations have provided all necessary facilities, including food, drinking water, medical etc, at the relief camps.
