Tura, April 29: Four term member of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) and an Executive Member, Roynath D. Sangma on Tuesday passed away at a hospital in Guwahati. He was undergoing treatment for last few months.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has condoled his demise.
“Late Roynath Sangma was a respected public leader and a voice for his community”, the chief minister said, while acknowledging his contribution and association with the National People’s Party and his late father P.A. Sangma.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at Bandanggre under Phulbari PS.
