Agartala, May 8: The fuel crisis in Tripura is at its peak , most fuel stations have put up signs declaring lack of petrol and diesel, leaving only a handful of stations with fuel stocks, where long queues have become a common sight.
The rationing of petrol and diesel by the state government continues for over a week.
The residents are frustrated speaking to Hub News they stated that the wait hours are very long, they need to wait for atleast four hours to fill their tanks, only to receive limited quantities that fail to meet their needs.
The crisis stems from the breakdown of rail lines and national highways in Assam, attributed to heavy rainfall.
Despite the fuel shortage, prices of other essential commodities remain unaffected, offering some relief to residents amidst the ongoing challenges.
