TURA, Sept 6: A massive consignment of alcohol beverages ranging from beer to whisky that was being brought for sale in the black market in North Garo Hills has been seized by police in Resubelpara area today morning at 10:45 AM.
The consignment was brought to the area in a Tata Nano vehicle having assam number. The consignment was for Resubelpara’s black market sellers in Dekachang market and Nangaburi markets.
Police stopped the vehicle and during inspection found to be loaded with indian made foreign liquor, namely tuborg and kingfisher beers, royal stag, OC blue, Mc. Dowells and blenders pride whiskies. The total consignment was 60,000 rupees in the market.
