Shillong, May 25: The young athletes from Garo Hills delivered an exceptional performance at the State Level Inter-School Athletics Meet, which concluded on Friday in Shillong.
Henry Yoga Sangma (15 years) from Resubelpara bagged 3 gold medals in the 100m, 200m, and Medley Relay events.
Kasanchi D Marak (14 years) from Baghmara secured 2 gold medals in the 100m and Medley Relay, and 1 silver medal in the 300m.
Enriyana Momin (13 years) from Resubelpara won 1 gold medal in the Medley Relay.
All three young athletes were also part of the Super Elite Pathway Program (SEPP).
Winning a total of 7 medals, John Kharshiing, the working president of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), stated that the scientific, data-based methodology has started yielding high-performance results in just 11 months of the Super Elite Pathway Program (SEPP).
