Boko, Oct 17: A five-day Garo Traditional Music and Dance Workshop at Gohalkona village, situated along the Assam-Meghalaya border in Boko under Assam’s Kamrup district, got underway on Tuesday.
The event is organised by the Garo Cultural Forum (GCF) and sponsorship by the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC). The resource persons for the workshop include Jatin G Momin from Mushkhuli, Goalpara, Jagring Marak from Damra, Goalpara, and Silchi Sangma from Gohalkona village.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Frying R. Marak, Executive Member of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.
More than 50 enthusiastic participants have taken part in the workshop.
