Guwahati, May 23: A Good News for active Sportspersons of the Northeast region! Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has published a recruitment notification to fill up 24 different posts for men and women under the Sports Quota.
In an official press release, NF Railway stated that online applications are invited from eligible sports persons who are Indian citizens and actively participating in sports competitions. The release further said that recruitment will be for various posts in Level-1 to 5 in NF Railway. The last date to apply for the posts is June 9, 2024. Aspirant candidates can apply online through the link given on the website www.nfr.indianrailways.gov.in after going through all the details mentioned.
Sportspersons from the fields of Weightlifting, Golf, Boxing, Cycling, Cricket, Badminton, Football, and Table Tennis can fill out and submit the online application. The age limit prescribed is 18-25 years as of July 01, 2024, for candidates applying for posts in Levels 4 and 5 and as of January 01, 2024, for posts in Levels 1 to 3. Candidates with minimum prescribed educational qualifications and sports achievements as per norm can apply for the respective post.
The sportsperson who is currently an active player and has sports achievements in recognized championships/events held on or after 01.04.2021 shall only be considered for their appointment.
Sabyasachi De, Chief PRO, NF Railway, informed us that the trials will likely be held on June 20 and 28, 2024. Candidates should be ready for the trials for their sports discipline.
As per the selection procedure, shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for (i) a trial of sports performance and (ii) an interview and assessment of sports achievement, educational qualification, etc. The offer of appointment shall be given strictly based on merit.
