TURA, Aug 28: Following recent controversy over the state government’s decision to go for on campus recruitment of B.Sc nurses with certificate in community health from two nursing colleges of the state, in NEIGRIHMS and Woodland hospitals in Shillong, which resulted in candidates from Garo Hills losing out due to lack of advertisement, the government has now announced more posts to benefit the Garo community with a walk-in interview in Tura for 21 posts of the same on September 4th.
The Mission Director of National Health Mission on Monday released a notice announcing the walk-in interview at the Working women Hostel in Tura with the criteria being B.SC Nursing along with a community health course certificate, among other details.
The Mid-Level Health Provider posts will be at Health and wellness Sub-Centres in the state.
While this initiative from the government is likely going to settle the storm over the previous move to recruit from two nursing college campuses without bringing out an advertisement.
