All financial transactions, administrative and academic activities put to halt
Shillong, Feb 15: In compliance with the Supreme Court of India’s judgment dated February 13, the Education Department, Government of Meghalaya has instructed three senior officials to visit the campus of CMJ University located in Jorabat, Ri-Bhoi District on Friday for an inspection and to ensure the security of the campus premises.
During the visit, the visiting team which was accompanied by Executive Magistrate of Ri-Bhoi District along with police personnel interacted with the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of CMJ University.

The visiting team informed the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of CMJ University that an Administrator for the University will be appointed and that the University should cease all financial transactions, administrative and academic activities.
Additionally, the University has been directed to ensure that no assets are moved from the campus, and that no files, computers, hard disks, or other materials are removed.
