Tynsong said the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) had met him and expressed their concerns over the Meghalaya Regulation of Gaming Act, 2021 and Rules and the demands of the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC) at his office on Monday.

“The HYC has urged the government through me that if possible not to proceed further… get the clarity from all the citizens of the state… I have given the assurance that the government we will sit down and examine the matter,” he informed.

He further said he cannot make any comments on the contentious issues (legalized gambling and HPC) as the Government will examine the issues one by one. “Let us wait till such time when we hold a meeting where we invite the HPC that time we will be able to tell you exactly,” he said.
