Tura, Aug 11: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU) from the West zone has written to the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills (SWGH), seeking and demanding first preference for locals in the District Selection Committee (DSC).
A memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills by the leaders of the Garo Students’ Union on Friday.
According to reports, the leaders of the Garo Students’ Union have requested the implementation of a revised selection process for the recruitment of jobs in the District Selection Committee (DSC), giving priority to qualified candidates from the local community.
