Mystery on deaths of Rosy and Samuel Sangma

The death of Rosy Sangma and Samuel Sangma, two Garos from Nagaland’s Dimapur, has sparked outrage in the North eastern region due to the mystery surrounding their deaths.

Rosy Sangma died in the ALFAA Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana on June 24, 2021 after consuming ice-cream given to her by hospital staff while she was in ICU. A viral video posted by Late Samuel Sangma had claimed that his aunt Late Rosy was recovering and suddenly died after eating the ice cream.

Reportedly, the hospital staff assaulted Samuel when he confronted them for giving ice-cream to his aunt in the ICU, and not allowing him to see her thereafter. The next day, i.e. June 25, his friends found him hanging from ceiling of the hotel he was staying at Gurugram, who went to check on him after he stopped responding to calls from his family and friends.

Samuel’s father said his son’s body had assault marks all over and a broken tooth. He claims that his son was murdered and his sister-in-law (Rosy Sangma) died due to medical negligence.
