Guwahati, July 29: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted active monsoon conditions over most parts of northeast India in the coming days with significant rainfall activity across various regions.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is very likely over East India and scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning over Northeast India during the next 5 days.
Very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from July 29 to August 1; Arunachal Pradesh on August 1-2; and Odisha on July 31-August 1.
Isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from July 29 to August 2; Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on July 29-30 and August 1-2; Assam & Meghalaya on July 29-30; Jharkhand from July 30 to August 1; and Gangetic West Bengal on July 29, 31 and August 1.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts from the IMD.
