Tura, Sept 3: Heavy downpour in the Garo Hills region led to a landslide at Spring Hills in Tura on Tuesday afternoon, bringing the traffic on the crucial road to a halt for few hours.

The landslide occurred adjacent to NH 216, at around 3 PM in the afternoon.

The road connects Tura to Paikan.

Tura Police and MF&ES quickly rushed to the scene to clear the debris and handle the traffic.

No human casualties or damage to vehicles were reported.
