Shillong, April 10: The Hindu followers celebrated the Ram Navami in Shillong on Sunday where a grand procession of almost 300 Vishwa Hindu Parishad members marched from Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan Gadi Khana Lukier to RR Colony.

Ram Navami is the celebrations of the birth occasion of Lord Rama in Ayodhya many centuries ago. Lord Ram is considered the seventh avatar (reincarnation) of Lord Vishnu. He was the epitome of ideal behaviour expected of a human being.
