Shillong, Sept 28: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Monday held virtual meeting with Agriculture Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh in presence of officials from the department to held discussion on the proposed setting up of Horticulture Institute in East Garo Hills.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister posted in his official Facebook handled that a team from Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) will be visiting Williamnagar for an initial survey in next two weeks.
He also informed that tenders has been finalised for setting up of 16 Farmers Producers Organisations (FPOs) under Mission Organic Value Chain Development (MoVCD) across Meghalaya. He further stated that resource institutions have been finalised for the establishment of the FPOs.
