Guwahati, Jan 4: The Indian Air Force (IAF) is organising an Industry Outreach Event 25 (IOE25) to enhance India’s defence capabilities and foster indigenous innovation. Scheduled over two phases, the event will kick off with a virtual session on January 13, 2025, followed by an on-site interaction at Air Force Station Guwahati on January 15, 2025.
IOE25 aims to connect defence industry stakeholders, innovators, and start-ups with the IAF, spotlighting the critical role of innovation in defence and the Government of India’s (GoI) vision for an Atmanirbhar Bharat in the sector.
The online phase will feature informative sessions led by key defence stakeholders, including Atmanirbharta Initiatives by IAF by the Directorate of Aerospace Design, IAF, iDEX Schemes, Policies, and Processes by the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), Ministry of Defence, Quality Assurance and Certification Processes by the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA), Airworthiness Certification Process by the Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC) and Certification and Testing for Aviation Systems by the Aircraft Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), IAF.
The second phase at Air Force Station Guwahati will enable industry representatives to engage directly with IAF operators. This face-to-face interaction is designed to provide a deeper understanding of operational needs and identify opportunities for innovation that align with the IAF’s requirements.
