Tura, May 24: The ICFAI University Tura Campus, organized a Career Counseling program along with an Awareness program on the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) on Friday. The Program was held at Springfield H. S. School, Ampati. 156 students from class 12 and Final year degree students from Ampati Degree College participated in the Program.
Participants were provided with invaluable guidance and personalized recommendations to navigate their educational and career choices effectively. The interactive sessions facilitated one-on-one discussions with the resource persons.
Dr. Brenda D Marak, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, emphasized on the vast array of Career Opportunities in Entrepreneurship, emphasizing various Government Schemes available to support budding startups.
Sumit Dey, Assistant Professor and Head of the IT Department, shared insights on Career paths in Management and IT. He delved into an informative session on the National Education Policy 2020, elucidating the transformative reforms introduced by the Government of India and their impact on the educational landscape. Students gained valuable perspectives on the policy’s objectives, implications for students and educators, and its broader implications for the Indian education sector.
Muktadul Hussain, Senior Administrative Officer at ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura Campus, showcased the diverse range of educational courses offered by the university, providing students with a glimpse into the expansive academic opportunities available.
The event gave a holistic approach towards education and career development, equipping individuals with the tools and insights for a successful academic and professional journey.
