Shillong, March 13: Senior Indian Forest Officer (IFS), N. Luikham, who was serving as the Chief Conservator of Forests for the Government of Meghalaya, allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday morning by hanging at his residence near Lady Keane College, Shillong.
IFS Luikham belonged to the 2003 batch of the Indian Forest Service.
According to police information, Luikham committed suicide around 7:30 AM on Wednesday.
The body of Luikham was taken to Civil Hospital, Shillong, for a post-mortem examination.
