Shillong, April 22: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Shillong has issued a weather alert indicating that thunderstorms and lightning, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall, are very likely to occur at multiple locations across Meghalaya within the next three hours.

The affected districts include East Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, and West Khasi Hills.

The alert was issued at 11:30 PM on April 21 and remains valid until 2:30 AM on April 22. Residents in the mentioned areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay indoors during this period.
