Tura, Jan 5: Inter-state cab services running from Tura have temporarily halted, not in response to the ongoing strike but due to precautionary concerns.
Drivers and owners are hesitant to dispatch vehicles beyond the initial 100 kilometers from Tura, as the remaining 120 kilometers extend into Assam.
The apprehension is rooted in fears that vehicles might be targeted for not participating in the strike. Services are anticipated to resume once the strike concludes.
However, the Meghalaya Transport Corporation will continue its night bus services.
