The beaches of Baghmara town in South Garo Hills came alive with traditional beats at this year’s two-day Tyisam Festival which kicked off on Wednesday at the Simsang Golden Beach, drawing record crowds from across the region. The festival’s highlights include cultural performances, music competitions, talent shows aimed at identifying the potential of the youth, and stalls selling wood carvings, pottery items, and ethnic food. In addition to cultural festivities, the Tyisam Festival is also hosting adventurous activities such as zip-lining, trampolines, and hot air balloon rides.
