Shillong, May 8: In a coordinated security response today, Indian defense forces successfully neutralised multiple airborne threats targeting key military installations at Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir. The threats, reportedly of Pakistani origin, included a mix of drones and missile systems launched in an apparent attempt to test India’s border defenses.

According to official sources, the hostile aerial objects were swiftly detected and engaged using a combination of kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities, in strict adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The prompt and calibrated action by Indian forces ensured that there were no casualties or material damage.
“India remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people,” a senior defense official stated, underscoring the high alert status maintained across forward military zones in the region.
