Indian Navy stages Operational Demo at Ramakrishna Beach, Visakhapatnam

Guwahati, Jan 5: The Indian Navy conducted an Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) at Ramakrishna Beach in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, showcasing its operational excellence and maritime prowess.

The event, hosted by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), was graced by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as the chief guest.

The demonstration featured a captivating display of naval strength, including warships, aircraft, submarines, and elite MARCOS commandos. The grand finale included a traditional Beating Retreat Ceremony, an immaculate Continuity Drill, and a breathtaking Laser and Drone Show, leaving the audience spellbound.

Lakhs of attendees, including the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh, senior dignitaries, MPs, MLAs, local citizens, and tourists, witnessed the event live, while many others tuned in through the live telecast.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu commended the Indian Navy highlighting the deep connection between Andhra Pradesh and the Navy. He praised the critical role of the Navy in securing India’s maritime borders and fostering goodwill.

Vice Admiral Pendharkar extended heartfelt gratitude to the state government and local administration for their unwavering support in organizing the event.
