Tura, Aug 16: Agitok’s thrilling square-off with Chisim brought the closure to the semi-finals of the Inter-Mahari Football Tournament 2023 at the PA Sangma Stadium in Tura on Wednesday.

From the first blow of the referee’s whistle, the atmosphere crackled with tension and excitement as both teams sought supremacy in this heart-pounding battle. Agitok, determined to secure their place in the finals, wasted no time and surged ahead with a swift goal just moments after the match kicked off.

The intensity of the contest only deepened in the second half, with Rosan Sangma, donning jersey number 4, scored a masterful goal.

Throughout the game, the A.gitok squad showcased their relentless offensive prowess, keeping Chisim on their toes and firmly entrenched in a defensive stance. The Chisim team, despite their defensive strategy, fought valiantly, showcasing their resilience in the face of mounting pressure.

As the final whistle reverberated across the stadium, it was Agitok that emerged victorious, securing their place at the grand finale of the championship clash, slated to take place on August 19.

All eyes are now on the finale as the tournament has proved that the Mahari teams are extremely talented, competitive and passionate about the sport, showing some spectacular matches in the tournament.
