Shillong, Aug 30: Minister in-charge Public Health Engineering, Marcuise N Marak, on Friday informed that the status of implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) throughout the state in terms of coverage as on August 18, 2024 is 5,23,600 households, which is approximately 80.44% of the total target.
In a reply tabled in the Assembly, Marka said the work for Mawlai Umthlong is ongoing and the overall physical progress is 15% while for Mawlai Mawiong Umjapung, the work is ongoing with an overall physical progress of 50%. He said the work at Mawlai Mawiong Rim is also ongoing and the overall physical progress is 35% while in Mawlai Nongkwar (Block 13), the physical progress is 23%.
