Momin’s journey to certification was no easy feat. He cleared his written exam in May, followed by the Playing Ability Test in August at the Classic Golf & Country Club, Manesar, Haryana. Most recently, he completed his apprenticeship in Kolkata under the mentorship of renowned Indian coach Shri Indrajit Bhalotia.

“He [Bhalotia] has assured me that he will continue to guide me, and I look forward to future collaborations with Protouch coaches and other top golf instructors from mainland India. My goal is to bring forward a new generation of talented golfers from Meghalaya and the Northeast,” Momin said with enthusiasm.

Momin is now planning to open his own golf academy and expand his coaching throughout the Northeast. “I have a coaching camp lined up next month at the Assam Railway Golf Course, followed by another in Garo Hills at the Durama Golf Course in Tura,” he revealed.

Grateful for his accomplishments, Momin reflected on the role of his family and faith. “I thank God for my health, and for blessing me with a beautiful family—my wife and daughter. This achievement is not just mine but a pride for Meghalaya. I want to be an asset to the state, and I’m eager to collaborate with anyone to promote the beautiful game of golf. I am your son, your brother—thank you all for your support,” he concluded.
