Jowai, Oct 17: The MLA of Jowai Constituency, Wailadmiki Shylla on Saturday handed over an ambulance procured under the SWRP 2020-21 to the Dorbar Chnong Ialong, West Jaiñtia Hills at a small gathering held at the village.

The function was presided over by Jop Rymbai in the presence of Bishar Shylla who was the former Waheh Chnong (Headman) of the village, T. Ram Phawa the current Waheh Chnong, Octomewat Lamin the MDC of JHADC, amongst others.The former and current Waheh Chnong while speaking during the function thanked the MLA for handing over the ambulance to the village which is the first for the village and it will serve the people of the village and the adjoining areas.

They lauded the works of the MLA by stating  that he is the first MLA to bring about development to the village be it in sports, construction of roads amongst other developmental works.

The Dorbar Chnong also felicitated Wailadmiki as a Frontline Worker during the COVID-19 Pandemic as he had to work tirelessly for the people of the Constituency.Wailadmiki Shylla while addressing the function advised the Village Dorbar to use the ambulance wisely as it will also help in generating funds for the village and urged upon the village not to overcharge for its services.He also informed that the ambulance may also be used by the villagers of the adjoining areas.
