Shillong, Feb 11: Justice S. Vaidyanathan was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya on Sunday. Governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath of office to Justice Vaidyanathan.
The oath taking ceremeony was held at the Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Shillong.
He succeeds Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee, who retired in November last year.
Prior to this appointment, Justice Vaidyanathan served as a judge of the Madras High Court since October 2013.
