Kargil Vijay Diwas: Conrad honours brave soldiers ‘who gave their today for our tomorrow’

Shillong, July 26: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday honoured the heroes of the Indian Armed Forces who fought uncompromisingly to secure the glorious victory in Operation Vijay.

Taking to Twitter, CM wrote, “We salute the brave soldiers of the country who gave their today for our tomorrow.”

Meghalaya DGP Dr. LR Bishnoi also remembered the valiant soldiers who fearlessly defended the nation’s honour during the Kargil War.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid his tributes to India’s bravehearts at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras.

He Tweeted, “The Indian Armed Forces fought valiantly and many soldiers laid down their lives in the line of duty. The nation will remain indebted to their service and sacrifice.”

Every year, Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated on July 26 to observe India’s victory over Pakistan. On this day, the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers are honored and their courage is celebrated. It serves as a reminder of the indomitable spirit and dedication of our armed forces.
